02The honest answer

Why we cost more than a template.

It's a fair question, and the honest answer is that a LKR 20,000 template site and what we build are different products. Both are legitimate. They are just not interchangeable.

A template site takes a pre-built theme and swaps in your logo, colours and text. That can be done in days, which is why it is priced in days. It gets a business online, and for plenty of businesses that is genuinely enough.

What we build starts from research into your actual customers, is designed from a blank page for your business specifically, is hand-coded rather than assembled from a theme, and ships with SEO and GEO work built in rather than sold as an add-on eighteen months later when you realise nobody can find you. That is measured in weeks, not days, because it genuinely takes weeks.

If a LKR 20,000 template solves your actual problem, we would rather tell you that than take your money for something you did not need. If your website needs to be the reason someone chooses you over three competitors with a tab open next to yours, that is where the difference in price buys something real.

04Questions about pricing
Why does this cost more than a LKR 20,000 template site?

Because it is a different product. A template site swaps your logo and text into a pre-built theme, which is a legitimate thing to buy and takes days. We custom-design and hand-build every page, with a performance budget and SEO/GEO work built in from the start rather than sold separately later. That takes weeks. What we have done is price that work at mid-market rates rather than the rates the same standard of work is usually quoted at.

Is there anything extra I need to pay for after the quoted price?

Domain registration and hosting are billed separately at cost, typically LKR 3,000-8,000/year for a domain, and hosting is often free at your traffic level on the platforms we use. Nothing else is added once a package is agreed. If a request during the project falls outside the original scope, we quote it separately before doing any work, not after.

Do you require full payment up front?

No. Standard terms are 50% to begin, 50% on completion before final handover. For Flagship projects we split payment across milestones: ask when we scope your project.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, this is fairly common and we are flexible about it. Tell us what works for your cash flow when we scope the project and we will structure a plan around it.

What happens if I need changes after the support period ends?

You can pay for changes as they come up, or move onto a care plan starting at LKR 7,500/month, which covers hosting, updates, small content changes and monthly reporting. Entirely optional: you own the site outright either way.

Do prices include VAT?

Quoted prices are exclusive of VAT. VAT is added on the invoice where applicable, in line with current Sri Lankan tax requirements.

Tell us about your project and we'll quote it properly.
